From a website enquiry to a confirmed order

3 November 2026

Sending the form on a boat page starts a conversation. It does not start a build. The yard keeps the note as an enquiry and answers it. An order exists when the yard confirms one.

What the form creates

The form asks for a name and an email. The message names the boat. That is enough to store a lead. The lead is new until someone at the yard picks it up. A draft reference may be created with the enquiry. A draft is not a confirmed order, and it does not appear on the buyer’s My boat page as an order.

What confirmation means

A confirmed order is a record the yard has marked confirmed, in production, or delivered. Until that change is made, the enquiry remains an enquiry. Asking for a price, a layout, or the draft build agreement is still the first step.

What a buyer can see after sign-in

A buyer signs in with the same email used on the order. My boat then lists orders in those confirmed states. The timeline follows the records actually stored:

  • Order confirmed.
  • Production scheduled, once a build slot is reserved.
  • In production, while the yard records engineering, hull, fit-out, or sea trial.
  • Production complete, when the stage is ready.
  • In transit, when a delivery is scheduled or on the way.
  • Delivered, when the handover is recorded.

A step is marked only when the stored order, production stage, or delivery status supports it. A date that has not been entered is not invented. A document appears when the yard has filed that version. A deposit appears when staff have entered an amount they have verified.

Dealers

An approved dealer sees the leads, quotes, and orders assigned to that dealer. A quote uses the factory price stored for the build slot. Another dealer’s desk does not open those records.

If you have sent an enquiry and want to know where it stands, contact the desk on the contact page. The public status of a boat remains the page in the fleet. The private status of an order is the record on the signed-in page.
